[INFO] BEAST Made It To The Top 10 of 2011 Melon Music Awards!

The top 10 for 2011 Melon Music Awards has been announced! You can see the top 10 artists on the pic above, and yes our boys are in

Top 10 of 2011 Melon Music Awards (in no particular order) : 2NE1, LeeSsang, Park Jung Hyun(Lena Park), BEAST, Big Bang, Super Junior, Secret, Sistar, IU and f(x).

From this they will compete again in the 2nd round which opens today, and the BEAST boys are nominated for the following categories : Artist of The Year, Album of The Year, SK Planet Best Song Award and Netizen Popularity Award.

The criteria for the awards are 80% download & streaming + 20% votes, 2nd round will be opened until midnight on Nov 23rd. The awards ceremony will be held on Nov 24th.

And the sad part is that we, foreign fans, can’t help to vote because you need Korean Social Security Number in order to register and vote. Btw, here’s the link to see the voting chart :CLICK HERE!

[INFO] Leeteuk, Park Shin Hye and Doojoon to host ’2011 Melon Music Awards’

The ‘2011 Melon Music Awards‘ have announced that they’ve enlisted Super Junior‘s Leeteuk, actress Park Shin Hye, and B2ST‘s Doojoon to be the hosts for this year’s ceremony.

The three were chosen because of their influence in spreading the Hallyu wave. Super Junior has been receiving a lot of love in Europe and Asia, while B2ST will be starting their concert tour in Southeast Asia in December. Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye was recently cast for a Taiwanese drama called ‘Whirlwind District Office 1‘.

A representative from the ’2011 Melon Music Awards’ stated, “More so than previous years, 2011′s Melon Music Awards will focus on being a music show and a professional awards show. We plan on showing a lot of impressive stages and performances. We’re looking forward to the awards attracting a global audience, as the hosts themselves attracted a global interest through the Hallyu wave.”

Previous ‘Melon Music Awards’ hosts included Jang Geun Suk for the first ceremony and Song Joong Ki for the second.

The ’2011 Melon Music Awards’ will broadcast on November 24th at 7PM. Footage of the awards will also be released on Melon’s YouTube channel.

[INFO] 111009 B2ST’s Kikwang tweets a photo from the set of his new drama

B2ST member Kikwang tweeted a picture earlier today from the set of his newest MBC drama, ‘I’m A Flower, Too.’

The photo was posted with the caption, “Darong took a picture of Maru.” The picture shows a mirrored photoset of the adorable singer/actor dressed in a police uniform while wearing a cap backwards. He continued, “Darong also put some blush on Maru. Which look do you like better?”

Maru is the name of Kikwang’s character on the drama, a new addition to the police force who falls head over heels for Lee Ji Ah‘s character BongSoon. The drama is a romantic comedy revolving around BongSoon, a policewoman suffering from depression, and parking attendant Jae Hee played by actor Yoon Si Yoon.
